Our Legacy

1970

In the 70s, the bustling streets of Basavanagudi, Bangalore, witnessed the dawn of a remarkable journey. A young and enterprising boy named Ramachandra Rao, new to the city life, embarked on a venture that would soon leave an indelible mark in the world of coffee. With an innate entrepreneurial spirit, he established a modest condiments store, which soon became the epicenter of a burgeoning demand for the rich, aromatic beverage – coffee.

1974

Recognizing the increasing appetite for good coffee, Ramachandra Rao decided to delve deeper into the world of coffee craftsmanship. In 1974, Ganesha Coffee Works emerged from a small shop in Netkallappa Circle, Basavanagudi, marking the inception of a legacy that would transcend generations.

1989

The year 1989 brought in a new chapter. The three sons of Ramachandra Rao had grown up listening to the “First Crack” of coffee being roasted and being immersed in its aroma and flavors. Having inherited their father’s passion they stepped into the realm of coffee with a dream to propel the family legacy to greater heights.

1992

In 1992, the trio decided to reimagine the company, renaming it Bayar’s Coffee, a name that encapsulates a commitment to taste, trust, and tradition.

Embracing growth and innovation, Bayar’s Coffee expanded its horizons in the same year, establishing a new roastery equipped with state-of-the-art German machinery. As the years passed, the company extended its reach to international shores, fostering relationships with global partners while steadfastly adhering to its core values.
